Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful one so far. For today’s post I’ve decided to write myself aloveletter. I actually got this idea from the ever so lovely Hannah (link to her blog post here) She got it from the book & movie “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” – which encourages us all to write ourself a loveletter. I personally havn’t got around to read or watch it just yet. However, before you all go crazy in the comments; Then I’d just like to clarify that it’s on my to do list – so plz don’t kill me (haha) Anyway, I hope you enjoy my version of it and that it inspires you to write one yourself. Let’s GO!
Dear Me,
We’ve had our ups and our downs. You’ve failed me, I’ve failed you. You’ve inspired me, I’ve inspired you. Even though I’ve looked at you in the reflection and thought; those pimples look awful, your long legs are far from beautiful & why do you still look so skinny? Even though I’ve been so hard and unfair to you – I still love and admire you. It’s been a long ol’ process. However, I feel like we’re at a point in our lifes where we’re starting to see all the positive things in each other.
When I’m going through hard times, you’re there to hug me. When I feel like I’m falling you’re there with a safety net to catch me. When I feel tired and alone you’re there to cheer me up. Like you’re just ALWAYS there – no matter what! And I feel guilty and awful for not expressing how much I appreciate it – how much I appreciate you. But let’s look forward; From now on I promise to smile at you and tell you ‘thank you’ for everything.
I’m proud of you. Your creativity is inspiring. Your ability to admire the beauty in others, instead of assuming bad things about them. Your skill of loving to learn, is something you must never take for granted. Your power of knowing your core inside out, that my friend is (another) great thing to be proud of.
Oh dear Me. Let’s work as a team from now on. Let’s go through the goods and the bads hand in hand. Let’s explore without fearing. Let’s do what makes us happy. Let’s take on over the world with an open mind. Let’s do things that will make us feel like we can’t reach the bottom, but well knowing that we always can, because we’ve got each other to hold on to. And last but NOT least; Let’s focus on all things we ARE & NOT the few things we aren’t.
Me, I love you and have always done it. I’ve just not always been the best at expressing it. But, from now on I will. I promise.
Love, Me xx
Oh boi. Today’s post was a bit of a heavy personal one. I hope you still enjoyed it though & that you’re motivated to write one yourself. I’m definitely going to read this letter regularly – because I need to remind myself of how wonderful I am. I hope you don’t think I sound too big headed or selfish when I say that. I think loving yourself is one of THE most important things in life. So you (and I) better start practicing it.
Please feel free to like this post and let me know in the comments:
What do you think of sharing a letter as personal as this online? What do you think of my letter? Do you want to write one yourself now? & how important is self love to you?
I post every single Sunday. So if you don’t wanna miss out on any of those. Then make sure to follow my blog or subscribe with your e-mail. I’ve got some very exciting collabs coming up – so be excited! Until next Sunday; I hope you have a wonderful week!

I was told to write letters to myself from my less-dominant hand, as that’s the inner child. So, when I was anxious – I’d always write with my left hand, assuring my inner child that it was okay. That really helped!
I also relate doing it for ourselves too, it’s feels freeing to write – and then when we forget about it, and find that letter later on!

I think you captured this feeling perfectly 💛 Though I’m kinda sad (😭) that you haven’t read the series or watched the movie I’m SUPER glad it’s on your TO DO ‘cause it’s great and I’m pretty sure you’re going to love it as much as I did – p.s. the books might be better but only because they go more in detail (obviously). Anyways, this is a lovely post and I wholeheartedly agree we should love ourselves more with something as tiny as writing a letter to us as a person. I have written these before but will definitely keep writing them. Hope you’re having a beautiful day!!

It’s so great to stop and check in with yourself. It’s hard to be vulnerable in a world that tells you sadness, insecurity, anger, are bad and you should never feel these things. I hope this gave you clarity! This is a great post idea! I have this show/movie on my Netflix list—I think I’m gonna have to watch it next!

I am so glad someone else relates to the struggle of writing a letter to yourself and trying not to sound big-headed or full of yourself! I think you managed it perfectly. I absolutely love the letter and you should definitely read it back whenever you have a moment of low to remind yourself of just how awesome you are. Have an incredible rest of your Sunday! x
