Coffee Chats | Education

Happy Sunday dear readers! I hope you’re having a magnificent one. Today I’ve prepared another Coffee Chats post, so I hope you’re in for that (I mean, I presume so since you’ve clicked the post) Never the less, today’s topic is education. You may think it’s a bit of a boring one, but I do have a few things I would like to a) say about it. b) hear your guys opinion. Because let’s face it, it’s not really a chat if it doesn’t involve at least two people. Anyway, let’s gooo!

So basically like any adult or parent I do think an education is very important. It is most of the times the key to get a proper work established. And yes I know that not everyone can afford an education (which I BTW think is so sad, this world need to chance!). Like one thing is being able to go to collage but don’t want to, another thing is wanting to go but not being able to (I hope that made some kind of sense…) However, as you may or may not know I’m Danish. And again as you may or may not know, in Denmark you don’t have to pay to be educated. Whether that’s school, secondary school, collage or university – it’s all ‘free’. It’s obviously not completely free because Denmark does have some of the highest taxes in the world. But, come on I mean we don’t have to pay for education and we can go to the hospital without paying a single penny (and yes that includes medicin and operations – so it’s definitely worth it!)

(↑ apartment goals, yes I know ↑) Now, I do think there’s another side of education. I know way too many people saying that their parents wants them to get good grades so they can be a doctor, however in real life they want to be a musician. If that’s your parents then I really hope you follow your heart. No one should ever decide the life that you’re the one to live! And even if you have good grades that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be a doctor or something like that. If you know you want to work with fashion, then do so (or at least try it). I try to always tell myself this: I will only really regret the things I didn’t give a chance. Like when I’m 90-something (hopefully) I don’t want to be sat like:”Oh I wish I went modelling in Paris instead of working as an accountant for 50 years”. At least just give your dreams a try.

How about me and education? Well, since I’m ‘only’ 15 I guess I still have a few years to make up my mind. But, I will say that I kind of have a two/three sided dream when it comes to work. For an actual education I would really love to study sociology, like there’s almost nothing else that interrests me more then that. However, I would also love to work as a full time blogger, and being like a CEO of something as well. I mean there’s simply too much to choose from. How about you? What would you like to work as? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you very much for reading this post. I hope you’ve found it enjoyable. I would love to hear you thoughts and opinions on the subject as well, so please let me know in the comments below. Also, I do feel like saying: Hello, and welcome! To all my newer readers. You’re all very much appreciated. If you don’t want to miss any of my Sunday posts, then go a head and follow. Never the less, I hope you’ll have a great week.

  2. I think education is so important, but not necessarily school education. I think it’s most important to expand your mind in whatever way you want to whether that’s with hobbies, traveling, your job, even school. Keeping a working mind and having knowledge of the world is what I think of as education. If going to school is one’s way of doing that, that’s great. If it’s not, that’s cool too. Great post! I actually just wrote a post about college and whether or not it’s ‘right’ for someone, so I enjoyed reading this!

    1. Hey Megan. I can’t even describe to you how much we’re on the same page. Like I totally agree! I absolutely love to get different perspectives on things, and even sides that I forgot to include myself. So you comment and point of view is very much appreciated ❤

  3. I applied for nursing and businesses courses in university, I didn’t get into the nursing due to lack of experience (which is silly, I was 18 at the time, where was I supposed to have gained experience???) and decided to do a degree in human resource management and I’m so glad I went down that route. I believe everything happens for a reason, so even though at the time I was upset about the nursing, it all worked out well for me. Also, I studied sociology at A-level and loved every second of it! I would highly recommend it if you’re interested! xx

    1. Oh, well I suppose I’m not ment to feel sorry for you then, you know about the nursing thing ❤ It's so great to hear that you're now working with something that you enjoy. Uh and also thank you for making me want to study sociology even more – It's always nice to hear people say that they really love/loved it. I wish you the best of luck for your future ❤

  4. I definitely agree that education is super important. Denmark sounds great tbh, I’m from the UK so our healthcare is (mostly) free and our education up until university or 19 if you need to resit gcse/a-levels is also free 🙂 xx

Since I saw my first YouTube video About 10 years ago when it wasn’t even a career, I know i wanted to do something in that field 😉 I’ve always loved weoting and I started studying literature but decided that to be a blogger I wouldn’t need a college degree. You are still young though you have time.😘😘 ♥️

    1. Oh I’m totally with you on the blogger dream. However, I feel like it’s gonna be tough though. You know with all these amazing and creative minds, everyone has to find their ‘style’, because otherwise you won’t make a living out of it. I wish you the best of luck for your future, and I’ll be here behind the screen rooting for you ❤ xx

  7. I’m studying chemical engineering, so I’ll probably work in some sort of factory or pharmacy. I would like to have blog as a side job, I don’t thing it would make me as much money as engineer salary, but definitely would love to have it at least as hobby because it’s so much fun. xx

    1. I totally understand! I guess I rather want to do something I love and then earn a little less, instead of working with something I’m not really a fan of but earn a good amount of money. Thank you for your reading, I wish you the best of luck for your future ❤ xx
