I know you’re probably scrolling through this post thinking: “Does her handbag look that neat all the time?”. The answer to that is: “NO”…. Sometimes this handbag contains mountains of used tissues, receipts from 2 months ago and that weird handbag fluff where you’re always like:” How the hell did this end up here?”. However I didn’t think that would be very interesting to hear about. So for this post I’ve collected some of my handbag essentials to show you. I honestly recommend every item to be a part of your handbag as well.
To start off with, I thought actually showing you my handbag would be a good idea. My beloved handbag is from Whistles, and it’s this really beautiful leather backpack/rucksack. What ever you prefer calling it. I got this gifted from my Dad, and I love this to pieces (however I really could deal without the handbag fluff – not gonna lie) Although I might be a little young to have this sort of leather bag, I do recommend everyone to buy a nice quality handbag. Because no matter what, I feel like you’re going to have so much more joy of quality handbag, then a cheap not so good looking handbag. However it depends on how you look at it.
Book for a bit of reading
I feel like a book is something not a lot of people carry around in their handbag. Which I can understand, but I really do recommend having a book in your handbag. Because more often than not, you will sit scrolling on your phone when you’re bored or waiting. Why don’t read? I mean you can read on your way to school, work, UNI, or even when you’re waiting for your bus or the tube. Currently I have “Beautiful Broken Things” laying in my handbag, I havn’t got around to read it yet, but I’ll do so soon.
A notebook and some pens
I truly recommend every handbag owner to have a notebook as an essential in their handbag. Because you don’t know when or where an amazing idea is going pop up. You can write down the people you’re buying Christmas presents for, or a quick grocery list. You can brainstorm about your goals or new ideas for your job. It’s all up to you. My handbag notebook is from HAY, which BTW do the most amazing stationery ever!!! Just saying
I mean let’s be honest, the main reason why you have a handbag, is to store your purse right? I don’t think there’s a lot to say about this, other than my purse is from Marc Jacobs and I absolut love this purse, because there’s space for cards, coins and your phone – Very practical
I can’t leave the house without a pair of sunglasses, they’re an absolutely must for me. No matter if it’s July, January or April I will be carrying sunnies in my handbag. My sunglasses is from Ray-Ban, and I’ve mentioned them in a post before. I really adore them, and they are a good size for people with smaller heads (AKA me….)
Again, I can’t leave the house without some kind of lip product. One of the most annoying feelings, is dry lips. I seriously hate it. To sort that problem, my handbag contains this Burt’s Bees Lip balm. I have talked about this product in past posts, and for good reason. It’s got a minty flavour and it removes that dead lip skin. I also like to carry a lipstick or a lipgloss (or sometimes both). Right now I have a Nars lipgloss and an Urban Decay Vice lipstick in my handbag.
A few other beauty bits that’s an absolutely must in my handbag is: A hand sanitizer, a hairband and a tweezer. All very boring, but all so necessary.
